What Makes Worlds?

Realms of Runeterra

The Lore behind league was a rather vague concept. To the player base at the beginning League's main lore was at first focused on the player itself being a great summoner who summoned champions to fight for them. Slowly this lore became non canon as players gained mastery and played favorites with who they played as. This caused the lore behind league to slowly become non cannon and now the lore behind league was slowly becoming now focused on the champion. Now the champions themselves slowly started to gain a life of their own as we got to read tidbits of their biography and experience stories through the characters eyes either through videos or from observing their quotes for their allys and enemies.

As players slowly got into the mind of their champions they started to embody their champions mentality. Players who loved to play like assasins, slinking in the shadows to plan that one fatal strike they could slip in to kill, started to complain against their counter parts the tank player whose sole job was to bulk up to where these assasins blades were no more than toothpicks to their health. Same way the tank player with their bulky armors would hate the agility and hard hitting Marksmans who would abuse thier range and speed to wittle down the enemy's health. This caused the fanbase to seperate into different little herds.

Yet people wanted more, they wanted more information about who they were, the lands they fought on what significant did their battles hold. They wanted to know about how the battle between that purifier of evil who lost his wife to the chain warden is now fighting him, or about how the void is trying to spread into the lands of Runeterra. To that they realeased a link to lets us map out and follow the world itself. You can try the link out for yourself in the next tab they also released a new book called the Realms of Runeterra which gives us beautiful graphics which i have intersparsed between these texts along with the concepts that is known form perspective of a Scholar from Runeterra itself.
