In essence, the concept of gamification has been presented in this project. The use of the design themes, Minecraft Classic and Discord, were incorporated to make the experience of literary fiction more interactive and immersive. Research has found that video games provide benefits such as improved problem solving skills, social skills and creativity. Given this information, intuitively, one might think that literary fiction with the incorporation of video games will provide these same benefits. This was the intent behind this project. Unfortunately, there is not enough interactive literary fiction similar to this in the mainstream media. Further research will need to be conducted to conclude whether if interactive literary fiction using gamification can provide the same benefits as just video games.
